This studio is a community of people who know each others names and faces. We are passionate about sharing the millenia-old practice of yoga. We bring it to our community in an accessible way, adapted to our New York lifestyle. We promote healthy living, community, and gently invite students along the path of self-awareness. Our teachers go out of their way to cater to students’ needs and abilities. This is a studio where you can feel comfortable, ask questions, and advance your practice no matter what your current level is.
Our warm reception area begins the relaxing process. We have plenty of storage for shoes and coats and lots of comfy seating. It is the perfect place to prepare for your class and to transition back to the real world afterwards!
At Westchester Yoga Arts, our lineage a few yoga-generations ago is Paramahansa Yogananda to Swami Satchidananda, Integral Yoga to Yoga Haven. Classes follow the structure set forth in the Raja Yoga path, which means classes will usually be taught in the following order: standing poses, balances, back bends, hip openers, twists, forward bends and inversions. Metered street parking is available in the area. There is a also a paid lot by the CVS. Check out the City of New Rochelle website for more details.
